Set it up once
The first time, a single Touch ID ties your work to you. After that, the Macs and iPhones you sign in pick it up on their own — no codes to type, nothing to repeat.
Off until you say so
Sync is off until you turn it on, one script at a time. What you don't sync never leaves your Mac.
Your files stay put
Syncing never moves, renames, or deletes the file on your Mac. It's the same local app you already write in, with sync added on top.

A spare key, only yours
Turning sync on gives you a one-time recovery code — a spare key that's yours alone. You won't need it day to day, and losing it never touches the file on your Mac. But keep it somewhere safe: if you ever lose every device you've signed in, that code is the only way back into your synced work — not even we can open it for you. That's the point.
Covers what you sync
Backup covers the scripts you sync, not every file on your Mac. Turn it on for the work you'd hate to lose.
Your work, and only yours.
Your script is scrambled on your Mac before it's ever uploaded, with a key that's made on your own devices and never sent to us. What we store is an encrypted copy we have no way to read — enough to bring your work back on a new machine, and useless to anyone else, us included. Delete the cloud copy whenever you like: your Mac keeps its file, and we start erasing ours right away.
