Send the draft. Get the notes back.
Share a draft from your Mac with a private link for each reader. They read it in any browser — no account, no app — and leave notes right on the page. Every note comes back to you, next to the line it's about.
Whoever you share it with can read it. We can't.
The draft and every note are encrypted on your Mac before they're uploaded. The key rides in the part of the link that browsers never send to a server, so what we store is a copy we have no way to open. The reader page loads nothing from anyone but us — no ad trackers, no outside scripts. What we can see is the reader name you type (so we can put it on their notes) and the read receipts. Never the words.

Free with an Inkwell account
Sharing needs you signed in on your Mac, nothing more — you don't have to turn on sync. A free account keeps up to 3 links live at a time; Quill Pro raises that to 50. Revoke a link and its slot frees up.
Links that end on their own
Every link expires after 7, 30, or 90 days — 30 unless you choose otherwise. Need longer? Extend it from your Mac. Done early? Revoke it, and your reader sees that the draft is no longer shared.
A frozen copy, on purpose
Readers see the draft exactly as it was when you shared it. Keep writing — their copy doesn't change. When you want them on the new pages, Reshare makes a fresh link for the same reader.
Just the pages
Your private notes, revision marks, and any Quill suggestions you haven't accepted stay on your Mac. Readers get the script as it would print.
Cleaned up after
Two weeks after a draft's last link expires or is revoked, we delete the encrypted copy. Notes stay 90 days longer, so late ones still reach you — then they're deleted too.
Honest limits
A link works for whoever has it, so a forwarded link opens — with your original reader's name on any notes. Revoking stops future visits but can't un-read pages someone already opened. A passphrase keeps the link alone from being enough.
Finish the draft. Hear what they think.
Sharing is free with an Inkwell account. Readers never need one.
